Green-lipped mussel extract
Description: Green-lipped mussel extract is a dietary supplement made from green-lipped mussels (Perna canaliculus). This extract is designed to restore optimal function to damaged joints. Green-lipped mussels are naturally rich in cartilage-protecting chondroitin sulfate, glucosaminoglycans, and omega-3 fatty acids, including sterols not found in fish oil.
Composition:
- 75% green-lipped mussel (GLM)
- 20% glucosamine
- 5% MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
Dosage: It is recommended to take a higher starting dose for 3 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose.
Daily dose for 3 weeks:
- Human: 8-10 grams
- Horse: 30-50 grams
- Large dog: 10-12 grams
- Medium dog: 6-8 grams
- Small dog: 2-4 grams
- Cat: 1-2 grams
Daily maintenance dose:
- Human: 8-10 grams
- Horse: 15-25 grams
- Large dog: 5-7 grams
- Medium dog: 2-4 grams
- Small dog: 1-2 grams
- Cat: 1 gram
One measuring spoon equals 3 grams.
